I wasn’t too crazy about my color at first but when it rains it looks absolutely gorgeous which is nice because it rains fairly often.

The E92 will age well. Such timeless lines. Congrats!

I’m a big fan of the E9x chassis. Fantastic driver and look great, thanks!

Haha, the boost is awesome. It's making me want cold weather aka boost weather.

Thanks, IMO you can’t do much better if you want a decently luxurious RWD sporty daily driver for under $20k. Getting really cheap too!

I wasn’t in love with my color either, looks too light blue in the daytime. Then I saw it at night and in the rain, definitely has grown a lot on me!

I was just happy to find a sport package RWD 6MT local to me.

Thanks! I even saw someone running around in a GT on Sunday, it was in the 60’s outside.

Nice - so you got rid of the E90 for this and still have the Merc?

Kinja'd!!! AM3R shamefully returns > SonorousSpeedJoe

Kinja'd!!!1

Nah, still have the E90. This popped up for an alright price and I was decently interested, then about a month later it was still on the lot and had dropped almost $3k in price! Got it for a steal. I thought about trading the E90, but it had just developed an oil leak (rear main seal.. PITA!) and I didn't want to get hosed on the trade in.

I see, so you’ve got an E90 and E92 now, but the Merc is gone?

Kinja'd!!! AM3R shamefully returns > SonorousSpeedJoe

Kinja'd!!!1

Have all 3, deciding between the merc and the E90 to sell but not in too much of a rush.

No need to have such similar cars, the 335i is different enough than the other 2.

I love it! For less than the price of this 335i new, I have a 2009 C300, a 2007 328i, and this 2009 335i. Depreciation is my best friend.

Thanks! Definitely enjoying it. The color has been growing on me a lot, getting it tinted next weekend hopefully, I bet that’ll really make me love it haha.

I really like the color of the E92 in your profile, Montego blue?

Indeed it is! Drove from Mississippi to just outside of Atlanta this past September to get it. Also an 09 but it’s a 328i. It does have the M Tech package, though. Only had 55k when I bought it. Previous owner was a pilot for Delta so it was taken care of from the looks of it. Only things wrong are a broken cupholder (which happens a lot on our cars) and the seatbelt handover for my side is broke (also happens a lot). I did do some research on how to fix the handover, just haven’t had time to do it yet. Everything good in yours?

I can’t wait to get my money straight and get an E38 7 series... they are stupid cheap.

Great choice, that's a nice ride! And funnily enough, my seat belt handover doesn't work either. I'm gonna try to iron the seatbelt to see if that remedies it. It's a little annoying to have to reach so far back to grab it, but it's not the end of the world.

They really are a bargain, and parts really aren't that bad. Especially if you get the 740i. I would do dirty things for a 2001 740i short wheel base sport package..

Thank you! I love it so far. I’m still amazed at how smooth the ride is. I watched a video of a guy who starched his belt and used his girlfriend’s flat iron. I’m gonna try that for the passenger side. Sounded like it was a lot easier than using a regular iron and board. The grabber on my side is broke, though, so I just gotta find time to pull it off and fix it.

The N52 in the 328i is a fantastic engine.. I have one in an E90 with over 80k in it and it’s still super smooth. I’m gonna have to look that video up, gotta take advantage of these few warm winter days to get as much done to the car as possible.

Are you still on the OEM runflat tires?

Well the fronts are Michelin Pilot Sports and the rears are Fullruns, some brand I have never heard of. I do know they have a good bit of road noise, so I plan to replace them all next year.

Call me crazy, but I want the long wheel base sport. It just looks the best! Also, I saw some repair videos on just the E36 and the E36 wasn’t as scary as I thought. It gives me hope for working on an E38.

I don’t have very much experience but pretty much all inline 6 bmw’s are fairly simple to work on, V8’s just have less room so it's a little tougher. Tons of info on forums though, the community is awesome.

Thank you! I definitely need some luck considering at the beginning of the year, I want to start my CIS career. For my winter break, I need to study for my CompTIA exam, Security+ exam, Microsoft certifications, and some programming language certifications. Hard work ahead of me!
